Festival Culture Just Found a New Home on Roblox

07.22.26

Every fan has imagined what they’d do if they were in charge of a festival. The artists they’d book, the stages they’d design and the experience they’d create.

Now it’s their turn. Music Festival Tycoon, a new Roblox experience from Live Nation and Livewire, puts fans in the role of Festival Director, where they can create and grow their own music festivals.

Already attracting more than 3.5 million visits and generating 23 million in-game performances, the experience is getting even bigger with the arrival of Lollapalooza as its first real-world festival and CORTIS as its first featured artist.

Level 1: Build Your Festival, Your Way

Every festival starts with a vision.

Players shape every part of their event, from designing stages and booking artists to customizing the festival grounds. Lollapalooza is now the first real-world festival to join Music Festival Tycoon, bringing recognizable elements of the iconic event into the game, from the main stage and official merch stand to the famous lollipop mascot and even a Chicago-style hot dog vendor.

Players can recreate pieces of Grant Park or use them as inspiration for something entirely their own, putting a Lollapalooza spin on the festival of their dreams.

Level 2: Unlock Your Headliner

No festival is complete without the lineup. That’s where CORTIS comes in.

The rising global act is now the first featured artist inside Music Festival Tycoon, where players can watch virtual performances, unlock exclusive avatar items inspired by each member and build with a CORTIS-themed stage. The update arrives just days before the group’s U.S. festival debut at Lollapalooza, creating another touchpoint for fans before they take the real stage.

Just like a real promoter, players are deciding who takes the stage.

Level 3 and Beyond: Keep Playing

The best festivals have never really ended when the lights come up. Fans spend months reliving their favorite moments, discovering new artists, swapping stories with friends and counting down until next year. Music Festival Tycoon keeps that energy going long after the weekend.

Roblox is already where millions of people create, play and connect around the things they love. By bringing festivals into that community, Music Festival Tycoon gives artists, festivals and brands new ways to deepen fan engagement beyond the live event.

That also creates new opportunities for brands to extend their real-world festival sponsorships into Roblox through sponsored stages, custom activations, creator collaborations and virtual merchandise, creating connected experiences that span both live events and digital worlds.

Because this is about more than bringing a festival into a game.

It’s about giving fans a new canvas for their fandom. A place where the next festival is always taking shape.
